The Sangguniang Barangay of Merville, Parañaque City, Metro Manila, Philippines recently signed a "Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation" with Barangay Balabag, Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan during its "Educational Enhancement and Barangay Sisterhood Program" held at Boracay Island from July 14 to July 16, 2007. La Carmela De Boracay Resort Hotel, Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan. The venue of the Barangay Merville's "Educational Enhancement and Barangay Sisterhood Program".

A streamer was conspicuously displayed infront of the hotel where the participants stayed while in Boarcay Island.

The Sangguniang Barangay of Merville held its 13th Regular Session at the Conference Hall of La Carmela De Boracay Resort Hotel prior to the signing of a memorandum with Barangay Balabag, Boraay Island.

Merville Punong Barangay Gloria C. Gutierrez and Balabag Punong Barangay Glenn Y. Sacapaño preside over the joint session of the Sangguniang Barangays of Merville and Balabag prior to the signing of the "Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation" between the two barangays.
