FIRE & EMERGENCY RESCUE
Barangay Merville is one of the only two barangays in the City of Parañaque that pioneered the emergency rescue services in the barangay since 1992.
It's emergency rescue team has been known in the entire city as "RESCUE 309". The Rescue 309 started using an "Anfra" vehicle which is shorter than the regular ambulance vehicle.
Barangay Merville managed to secure a brand new L-300 Ambulance thru the efforts of former Senator Ernesto Maceda. Its second ambulance, a Vesta vehicle was obtained thru the courtesy of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), it was called Rescue 711.
Rescue 309 and Rescue 711 have been serving not only Barangay Merville constituents but as well as those from other barangays in the city and adjacent areas. Both vehicles are equipped with basic life support equipment.
